Session 6 of DFI

This google slide above has my notes from today's session at DFI

Today we learnt more about sites and importantly the purpose of class sites. We went around in the group having a brief show and tell of each others class site. It was great to see the different layout of sites which can be helpful in reconstructing my own. We also took on board feedback and made changes to my site today. It was good to hear how other educators view your class site and offered their feedback. I felt safe to share and it was their way of connecting to my class.

We learnt about the beauty of sharing and staying connected.

I also evaluated my own site and thought a good idea for my learner's WHANAU is to create a page where the whanau can access their child's learning site (the student's created themselves) and their blogs. Making it accessible for the WHANAU which reinforces the concept of being connected to their child's learning.

I have also been working on reconstructing my class site, and to be very honest, I am content with the layout of my class blog.  Click on the image to take you to my class site.
Feel free to view my class site and drop a comment below with any feedback.
All is welcome.

Thank you
Mary Fonua

  1. Hi Mary

I missed last week but it looks like you made the most of the opportunity to evaluate your site and build on the shared knowledge. It is great to see the way you are reflecting in light of Manaiakalani kaupapa and are putting the partnership with our whjānau at the forefront of your thinking.

  2. Hi Mary,
Thank you for sharing your reflections on our session. I am so pleased that you found the feedback related to your class site you received from the rest of the group helpful. Good on you for making changes to better meet the needs of your learners and their whanau.
